You keep scrolling and scolling and somehow 2 hours has passed and you have not gotten any work done. You start to stress out a bit. But something catches your attention. A notification pops up and you see a comment from a bully who so happens to be in the same library as you.

You spend some quality time with them, having a deep and meaningful conversation about life. Through this converstaion, you are able to establish and strengthen a new friendship. After your deep converstaion, you are both left sitting there in silence.

Now considering you have not been very productive at the library, you begin packing your bag to go home and work. [[Keep to yourself]]You let your anger and rage get the best of you and try and get back at your bully.... but the funny thing is now YOU’RE the bully. OH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED! You get them good and you end up posting a really mean post about them on all your social media platforms along with a meme. To your surprise, it blows up. Within 10 minutes, half the students are talking about it and are sharing it with more and more people. 5 miuntes later, you hear an annoucement asking you to report to the deans offcie. OH SNAP!
[[The end|the end]]You arrive at the resturant and there are so many people from school there. You recognize a few people there but that’s about it. You try locating your friend who invited you, but in the process of doing this, you make eye contant with a friend you were stalking earlier. You are really jealous and intimidated by this friend because of all the cool stuff they posted on thier social media. The friend that invited you finds you and brings you to talk to the friend you are intimidated by. After just a short converstaion, you realize that they’re not scary at all and you shouldn’t have compared yourself to them. It’s just social media and majority of it has been fabricated... FAKE!
[[The end]]Congrats! You were able to maintain a good and healthy balance regarding social media use throughout the day. You were not too disconnected from the outside world, but were still able to have a life outside of social media. You have a strong sense of self as well. Ultimately, your mood was not negatively affected, you were very productive and feel accomplished and you are able to get a good nights rest.

You continuously compared yourself to people you saw on social media and as a result, you were feeling sad for yourself. You are depressed, anxious and self conscious. You potentially have to go talk to the dean (depending if you went down that path). But at the end of the day, you go to bed angry and irritated. You don’t get a good nights rest and wake up all grumpy in the morning. Then the cycle continues.
